Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout Review
When I heard that Disney was replacing The Tower of Terror, I felt apprehensive. After all, TOT is a terrifically themed ride as well as a super fun and creepy. Definitely one of my favorites rides of all time. However, when I heard it was going to be re-themed as The Guardians of the Galaxy, I was very optimistic. Intrigued as well. Guardians was such a great film so if they could really do it right, it could be a fantastic ride.
Well, I finally got the chance to go on Mission: Breakout and it did not disappoint. The theming and decorations are awesome. There’s a lot to look at and we were moving through the line quickly (one of the only times standing in line is preferred), so I tried to get as many pictures as I could.
One of the cases in the collector’s collection houses Cosmo and I have to say, he is very life-like. I thought it was a real dog.
When you get into the collector’s office there is a LOT to look at. There are artifacts and trinkets everywhere. He appears on the screen on the wall and an animatronic Rocket shows up to go over the instructions on escaping.
The walk to the elevator has some new things to look at as well.
I don’t want to give too much away about the ride itself so I will simply say that it is a lot of fun. The music starts going, the elevator starts moving, and the guardians show up to kick butt. The visuals are very crisp and the soundtrack gets you pumped up. I will go on this ride as much as I can, especially to see the variations in music and visuals. I think Disney did a good job on this one. Plus I still can go on TOT in FL when I need a fix.
